Traversi (c. 1722 – 1 November 1770) was a Rococo genre painter from Naples. This painting is exemplary of his work; a lot of animated people confined in a small space. The girl holding a box has fallen asleep and is being tickled with a feather (haven’t we all done that at some point in our lives?).
