I love the title, but the person who came up with it clearly had no imagination as it is just a description of everything we see. Snyders started his career painting flowers, fruit and still lifes but later turned to painting animals. Or -in this case- a combination of them all. I’m not particularly fond of still lifes, especially when they involve a lot of dead animals like in this painting. But it is a fascinating painting.
