Dose of Art #160: Pablo Picasso – Pierrot (1918)

Most of us know only the famous Picasso paintings; Guernica, Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, The Weeping Woman for example. But over the years he made many paintings in various styles (yet all ‘Picasso’s’). He made Pierrot after the Great War was finished, and somehow that seems fitting as Pierrot is foremost a sad clown (He has a long history -too long to give a full account here-). Yet, Picasso has managed to make him even more ambiguous.
